Three large playrooms allow for three programs: Toddler Program - 15 children aged 18 months to 2 ½ years and 3 educators Preschool Program - 16 children aged 2 ½ to 4 years and 2 educators Full day Kindergarten - 10 children aged 4 to 5 years and 1 French educator Our daycare has been in operation for more than 50 years. Mr. Kailash Mital purchased the centre as a running business in 1988. It is a true success story starting as a home daycare and later being converted into a fully licensed facility. Over the past twenty years it has been completely renovated in accordance with the City of Ottawa Building Code and Public Health, Fire Department, and the Ministry of Community and Social Services. The Toddler and Preschool location is open Monday to Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Our chef prepares nutritious lunches and snacks to all children in attendance. We are also able to accommodate allergies and are a peanut free zone. All children receive a balance of indoor and outdoor activities each day as well as the promotion of early literacy and weekly music classes. Our centre is a home away from home for all of the children in our care. We believe that each child needs to feel welcomed, cared for and valued. We develop a relationship with the family as well as the child and have an understanding of the importance of their culture. |
